Julia Leete Rabin studied fine arts and holds a degree from the University of Massachusetts, and London City and Guild's Craft and Advanced Craft Certificates in Decorative Painting and Conservation.

After running a business in architectural paint conservation and teaching decorative painting for 12 years Julia decided to change direction. Since 2000, Julia has focused exclusively on book binding, working with Peter Geraty at the Praxis Bindery.

Julia lives in the woods of Western Massachusetts, gardening and drawing inspiration for her own work from the natural world.
