Shawn Sheehy couples his skills in paper engineering with an interest in themes of biological and cultural evolution to produce sculptural pop-up books.

He has taught workshops in such places as PBI, Penland and the Center for Book Arts in New York.

His books and printed work are collected by such diverse institutions as the Newberry Library in Chicago, Special Collections at UCLA and the Houghton Library at Harvard.

Sheehy also serves as designer for the poetry broadside series published by Oneiros Press.

He earned his MFA in Book and Paper Arts at Columbia College Chicago.
